Staffing

It has been great to have Dr Helen Sewrey, whom many of you will have seen previously, join the team permanently this year. She has been joined by our newest doctor, Dr Rida Kamal, at the beginning  of the year. We are delighted with the continuity of care that our GP team can now offer as they work together for all our patients.

We also have lots of learning and development in progress, with various  staff working their way through development courses such pharmacy technicians, dispensers health care assistants and  diabetes diplomas.

Premises

We hope patients have been appreciating the new clinical room (Room 10!) as much as we are. It has been great to be able to staff additional clinical sessions and also to shorten the walk from the waiting room for some patients!

We would like to give our utmost thanks to the Friends of Tangmere who continue to help improve the waiting room for everyone as well as running the book stalls for the benefit of patients and the practice.

Events

Our Saturday flu clinics this year will be on the 10^th and 17^th October. Booking links will be sent out in August to enable patients to book in good time for these.

We will also be offering the autumn Covid vaccine this year so if you are eligible for both and would like to have them together that will also be possible.

We will run various weekday afternoon flu and covid vaccination clinics for those who can’t make it to a  Saturday clinic. We will also provide these vaccines for our patients who live in a care home or at home and registered as housebound from a medical point of view.

Finally, do watch out for the opportunity to join local walks that the Friends of Tangmere arrange most months. A great way to do something health for mind and body, connecting with some other people and enjoying where we live.
